We have requested that the Westmeath County Council replace close to Ten street lights which are not working in Lakepoint Park for its residents. We have been informed by Westmeath Co Co. that they do not have any money to replace any of the public lighting at the moment. This is a disgrace, not to mention a blatant break of safety for the residents
It has been suggested that answers should be asked of our local county councillors. With the evenings getting darker and children walking home from school this is just not acceptable. Many lights that are out are grouped together at the back of the green along the main quite busy road through Lakepoint and is pitch black at night.
Please bring this issue to all and every county councillor you know.
