******ACTUAL TIME AND DATE TO BE CONFIRMED ******
The Irish Heart Foundation and Lakepoint Residents Association is on a mission to save lives.
Hands for Life: Community CPR Training is an Irish Heart Foundation programme, supported by Abbott and ESB Networks, which offers FREE CPR training in communities across Ireland.
Every day in Ireland 13 people die from a cardiac arrest and around 70% of these happen at home. Unfortunately, just 6.5% of people in Ireland who have a cardiac arrest in a non-hospital setting survive. CPR is an easy skill to learn and once you know how to do it, you could save someone’s life.
With Hands for Life, the Irish Heart Foundation is offering FREE CPR training courses in communities across Ireland from March 2019. In the next two years with the support of Abbott and ESB Networks – we’ll train an extra 100,000 people in the life-saving skill of CPR.
THE DATE AND TIME ON THIS EVENT WILL CHANGE. WE NEED TO CONFIRM ACTUAL INTEREST BEFORE WE CAN AVAIL OF THIS TRAINING
For every minute somebody does not receive chest compressions their chance of surviving reduces by 10 %. If an ambulance takes 6 minutes to arrive and cpr has not been started then that person has 60 % less chance of survival.
For FREE you can spend 1 hour being shown how to do CPR so you can start the chain of survival from minute one and gain those vital minutes back. You may save your husband, your wife, your son, your daughter, your grandmother or your neighbour.
How great would it be that the majority of people in Lakepoint Park be trained in CPR. The facts are out there that it WILL save a life
If you want to be trained for free please click the event page on the lakepoint Residents Association facebook page that you are interested so we can go ahead and book free training for lakepoint Park Residents.
