After it was brought to the residents association committee attention that there were many low lying trees in The park, the residents association members cut the worst of them Halloween week and the council took them away. After the Residents association have been representing lakepoint Residents concerns to the council the westmeath CO.CO are in trimming more trees today as they promised to do a few months ago. They also have sent the road sweeper in again to collect up leaves and general tidying. I know sometimes it seems like nothing is being done and things do take longer to happen than we would like but representation and follow up is always happening in the background.
Weed spraying has taken place on all main kirb areas and at the base of trees around the seven acres also. All part of the yearly maintenance programme to keep lakepoint looking in top shape these dreary months.
