We are delighted to unveil the Lakepoint Residents community library. It is located on the seven acres large green near the end beside the Rise.
If your stuck for something to do today and out of new reading take a walk down. Leave a book your done with and take a book to read. Simple as that.
There are books for young and old.
This library has been in storage waiting nearly two years to be finished by Mullingar Mens Shed.
We would like to thank Mullinar mend shed who were great to take on the building project and who provide a great service to local men.
We would like to thank Mayor Aoife Davitt who arrived up to lakepoint with 6 boxes of books she secured donated from Mullingar Town Library for the lakepoint library.
This lakepoint library is for everybody and owned by everybody in Lakepoint so please keep an eye out for it. Keep it safe. Keep the door shut etc. That way it will be a resource for years to come.
Seeing this when out and about gives a nice sense of community in Lakepoint.
